“Being lucky enough to have always lived in Cornwall, with the beautiful coast just on my door step, I have always had a huge love for the natural beauty of the ‘great outdoors’! From a stomp and hot chocolate in the woods, to a paddle followed by a Cornish pasty on the beach, I love every aspect of Cornwall and am always accompanied by my sidekick Barney the Cockapoo!
I’m really excited to be working alongside Marcus and Darren in managing No.1 Longshore, warmly welcoming our guests into the beautifully designed property. Providing a personal experience from the moment you feel the sand between your toes and using my local knowledge of Cornwall’s hidden gems to enhance your stay.”

“I was brought up on the coast – in Broadstairs; Kent, so the sound of the sea has always brought me great comfort and a sense of stillness.
I find our stretch of Cornish coastline to be as dramatic as any. The slate cliffs, the green and purple mudstone, the golden sunsets, the Porth Island blow-hole!
I’ve noticed that, in Cornwall, you don’t just “go to the beach”. Of course, there are dog walks, sandcastles, cold water swims and surfing. But the beach is a part of everyday life for the surrounding community, and gives us all an opportunity to jump into the culture of the connection with nature. So, don’t be surprised to see people who are bare-foot and sandy in the supermarket, petrol station or pub.”

“I was born in the West Country and holidayed in Cornwall throughout my childhood. I’ve always loved being in or near the water and moved to Cornwall during the pandemic. I started surfing through the summer and fell in love with the area during the winter – there’s nothing better than watching a storm on the coast and this coastline is spectacular.
I couldn’t imagine a place I’d rather be or a more creative community to be a part of, just take a look at the local artists featured in our home. There is everything you could wish for if you’re an outdoors person from walks to water sports, and also some of my favourite restaurants.”

The most beautiful home! Pictures hardly even do this stunning place justice. The location is unbeatable, being just 30 seconds from the small beach of Porth Cove, with pubs and a café around.
The place is beautifully done throughout with high quality appliances, beautiful views and comfy beds. It very comfortably fits 8 adults without having to squeeze in, and has all the necessary extras you’d need for cooking, heading to the beach and so on. Thank you Marcus & Lucy for this fab trip!
